What is an attribute and preference? An attribute is a property that describes you. A preference is a property of other people that you find desirable. Back
My search had no results. Whats going on? None of the current members matched your search criteria. Back
How do I prevent being viewed or contacted? Go to the settings page and select 'Yes' for the option that says "Hide my membership to prevent any profile views or messages?" Your membership is NOT deleted, simply hidden. Back
How do I disallow non-members from finding me in searches? Go to the settings page and select 'No' for the option that says "Allow non-members to find me in searches (from the login page)?". This will prevent anyone who is not a member (or not logged in) from finding you using the home page search. Back
I was able to find, view, or contact a member before, but now I cant? Either that member deleted their membership or hid their membership. Back
What does it mean for a member to be a favorite? Your favorites list is just a convenience for you to be able to find the members that you like again quickly. Back
What does it mean for a member to be blocked? You can specifically block certain members from writing you messages by putting them on your blocked list. Note that there is an option to "Block Sender" for each message you receive. Back
Can my profile, images, or messages be found by search engines? No. Every page on this site is generated by programs. In other words there are no files on the servers that a search engine can scan through and index. In addition, session numbers are unique and random, so a search engine cannot reliably obtain one for access. Back
Whats the difference between preferences and search criteria? Your preferences specify which attributes you find desirable in others, and are used in your compatibility score with another member. Your search criteria specify the attributes you are looking for in other members for a particular search. You are free to specify different values for your searches and preferences. Back
I got a message from someone, but I cant view or write to them? The user who wrote the message either changed their membership to hidden since writing the message, or deleted their profile entirely. Back
Should I report other members? What are the risks? Yes. That is if you think there is a good reason. There is no risk of the member knowing who reported them, but if you make false or intentionally accurate reports then you could be removed from the site. It is up to the administrator to determine the validity of any report. Back
What is a session? How come I sometimes have to log back in? A session number is used to identify a particular member. Your session number is created when you log in and cleared when you log out. Your session number expires after about an hour unless your are performing certain actions. If your session number expires, you must log back in. Back
Cant members just lie about their attributes? There is no practical way to know if a user is lying on any dating site. However there are certain core attributes that can only be set when a person joins. Back
Why cant I change certain attributes such as my birth date? Attributes such as your birth date, race, height, etc. cannot realistically change. Therefore these can only be set when you sign up. Back
Can people create mulitple memberships? Yes. This is a problem for most dating sites. There is no practical solution that I know of to this problem. Note that forcing people to provide an e-mail address on sign up is not a solution and can be easily overcome. Back
I forgot my password. What do I do? There is currently no way to reset your password if you forget it. The passwords are stored in an encrypted form that cannot be read or decrypted, so there is no way for even the administrator to access them. Back
Some of my messages disappeared? What happened? Messages that are older than 30 days may be automatically deleted. You can delete your messages at any time before they exipre if you wish. Back
I execeeded the number of messages I can send. Whats going on? There is currently a limitation on the number of messages you can send within any 24-hour period. Back
I cant seem to add any more images. Why? There is currently a limitation on the number of images you may add to your profile. Back
I want to delete my membership. What happens if I do? If you choose to delete your membership your profile is removed, not just deactivated. You are always free to rejoin, but your user name may be taken if you do. Back
Theres an image I want to add, but its too big. How do I shrink it? Heres how under Windows:
1) Start Microsoft Paint by clicking Start >> Programs >> Accessories >> Paint.
2) Open the image you wish to resize.
3) Select Image >> Stretch/Skew Image from the menu.
4) Enter percentages for resizing and click OK.
5) Select File >> Save As from the menu to save the resized image.

How do I report an error or bug? Write a message to the administrator describing the problem by clicking the Ask link at the top of every page. Back
How do I make a suggestion? Write a message to the administrator by clicking the Ask link at the top of every page. Back
How do I find members in other countries besides the United States? For now you cant. If interest grows the site can be expanded to include other countries. Back
Is this website available in other languages besides English? No. If necessary the site can later be offered in other languages. Back
The website is sometimes slow to load. What can I do? It could be the advertisements loading. If the content of the page is slow to load then there could be many people using the site. Back
How many developers are there? Just one. The administrator. Back
Which web browsers will work with this site? I have personally tested this site using Firefox (2.0 and higher), Internet Explorer (6.0 and higher), Opera (9.0 and higher), and Safari (4.0 and higher). If you notice a problem with an older version of one of these browsers, or a problem with some other browser not listed here, please write a message to the administrator. Back
Are JavaScript and cookies required when using this site? JavaScript is necessary for a few features on this site, but most do not require it. Cookies MUST be enabled for you to be able to use this site as a member, but third-party cookies (e.g. those inserted by advertisement domains) may be safely disabled. Back
