Some Information for Users:

I have tried to make this site "look and feel" the same on most major browsers by testing it using Firefox (2.0 and higher), Internet Explorer (6.0 and higher), Opera (9.0 and higher), and Safari (4.0 and higher). If you notice a problem with an older version of one of these browsers, or a problem with some other browser not listed here, please write a message to the administrator.

Adobe/Macromedia Flash:

Flash is used to display dynamic advertisements. Please install Version 10 or higher. Lower versions may cause strange problems or (for Windows users) annoying boxes to pop up while visiting the pages of this site.

Internet Explorer Version 6 Users:

I spent more than a few hours trying to get everything to work properly and look right on Internet Explorer Version 6. If you can, please upgrade to the latest version of Internet Explorer (Version 8 at the time of this writing). I have been very impressed with Version 8 and it seems to be comparable in speed, reliability, and standards compliance to other major browsers. You can find out what version of Internet Explorer you are using by clicking on the main menu item named Help, and then click on About. Your main menu might be hidden though. In that case, right click on the grey area on the top of the window to bring up a popup menu. Look for an item that says something like View Menu.

Google Chrome Users:

I have not yet tested this site using Google Chrome. If someone notices a problem with this website while using this browser please write a message to the administrator.

Proxy Access:

If you are using a proxy mechanism to access this site, such as AOL, then you must be using a service that is considered trusted by this site. Proxy mechanisms are usually an attempt by scammers or criminals to avoid having their real IP address detected. If you are a legitimate user please turn off the proxying if possible, or write to youlooker.com@gmail.com with the details of your service. This will be reviewed for possible addition to our list of trusted proxying services.

Some Information for Developers:

You might be surprised how many coding errors are present on some big name websites! I have used the W3C's free online tools for validating both the HTML output and CSS on nearly every page of this site. Currently, the only error I observe on this website is the use of the <input> tag attribute "autocomplete" which doesnt seem to be part of the HTML standard, at least for the HTML 4 Strict DOCTYPE that I am using. However, this attribute seems to be supported by the major browsers so I'm willing to let that one go.
